    I have been going along with out treatment (apart from 8 weeks after diagnosis) for 2.5yrs now...my consultant only wants to prescribe pred. Consultant wants me to take these for 8 weeks, then do lung function tests again...there is no improvement, they want me to go onto pred or be referred to the Royal Brompton hospital in London (that would be my preference) they were trying to have me leave today with steroids; but i had to stress that he doesnt wake up every day feeling how i feel, i know that pred doesnt help me, and i want to try something else.
